About R&D Timber

R&D Timber Story

R&D Timber was founded in 1998 by Red Bishop and his son, Danny Bishop. They started out as a logging crew, harvesting timber from the midlands and lowcountry of South Carolina, all the way into Georgia.

In 2010, Danny’s son, Ryan Bishop, joined the family business. After graduating college, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Business Management and played football, he decided to join the forestry world. Ryan learned the business from the ground up, and in 2019, he started another division of R&D Timber, focusing on land clearing and forestry mulching.

Now, R&D Timber offers services all over SC and GA. We do everything from small residential projects to large commercial projects.
